Our Founder’s Dedication to Aloe Vera
Special Bond with China
In 1988, Douglas Jewett and his family visited
Taishan, China, developing a deep love for its
culture and people. Inspired by this connection,
Douglas founded American Global Health Group,
LLC (AGHG) in Seattle in 1999 with leading
aloe experts, aiming to share the benefits of
organically grown Aloe Vera worldwide.
Special Bond with Aloe Vera
Douglas Jewett developed a deep affinity for
Aloe Vera after witnessing its healing power
in childhood. A neighbor with severe burns
recovered quickly with minimal scarring by
using fresh Aloe Vera gel and juice. Inspired
by this miracle, Douglas dreamed of sharing
Aloe Vera’s benefits worldwide.
Dedication to Environmental Protection
Douglas Jewett studied at Dartmouth University
and Yale Law School and served over 20 years
in U.S. politics. As Seattle City Attorney, he was
the youngest elected city attorney of a major U.S.
city. After leaving politics, he focused on clean
energy and environmental health, serving as
President of Ramgen, a high-tech company
backed by the U.S. government, dedicated to
reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
An entrepreneur passionate about protecting the
Earth and promoting health, Douglas remains
active as a consultant and investor in companies
beyond AGHG.
